Chase and Taylor saw the toll medicine was taking on their colleagues.
Michele, a certified life coach, knew how to do something about it.
Together, they created MindShift MD: a coaching program designed to help male physicians perform their best at work while staying present and energized in their home lives.
Family Medicine Physician,
Co-Founder of MindShift MD
Chase graduated from Clemson University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Business Administration. He then attended The Citadel Graduate College, earning a Master’s degree in project management with a focus in Systems Engineering. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2017, followed by a residency in Family Medicine at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina, which he completed in 2020.
As a board-certified Family Medicine Physician, he now practices in a group focused on adult internal medicine at Roper St. Francis in Charleston, SC. Chase’s primary clinic is in Mount Pleasant, SC.
While managing a large and complex medical panel, he remains intentional about being present in the moment with individual patients. Through MindShift MD, he hopes to help other male physicians excel and balance their careers and personal goals through fellowship, community, and coaching.
Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon,
Co-Founder of MindShift MD
Taylor earned his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at Clemson University, where he also played varsity football, before going on to medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine – Chattanooga.
Following residency, he became dual-fellowship-trained, completing a sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL, followed by a hip preservation fellowship at the American Hip Institute in Chicago, IL. Today, he practices orthopaedic surgery with EmergeOrtho in Asheville, NC, treating sports injuries of the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow.
Taylor brings the perspective of a surgeon’s life to MindShift MD: long days, unpredictable schedules, and the constant demand of being needed by others. His approach to mind management focuses on staying grounded and finding the why behind the work, even on the hardest days.
Certified Life Coach,
Co-Founder of MindShift MD
Michele Demetriou has spent her career in rooms where the pressure is real and the stakes are high, sitting across from people the world expects to be unshakeable. Physicians. CEOs. Professional athletes. High performers who are exceptional at what they do, privately struggling with the gap between their outer success and their inner experience.
Michele’s coaching methodology, Fierce Mind Management and the STEAM model, was built for people who can’t afford to fall apart. It’s a framework for the mental side of elite performance: how you think under pressure and how you build a life that feels as good as it looks.
When Michele met Taylor and Chase and heard the conversations they’d been having about what medicine was doing to the people practicing it, she recognized the profile immediately. Physicians are among the highest performers in the world, and among the least supported when it comes to the mental demands of that performance. Michele brings to physicians what she has brought to every client: a proven methodology, an unflinching belief in what’s possible, and a coach who stands completely outside the noise of your profession, focused entirely on you.
The best way to find out if MindShift MD is right for you is to have a conversation. Book a free call with us, and we’ll discuss your situation, walk you through our approach, and help you figure out the best next step.
